Students from the EU and EEA are entitled to tuition-free study for all bachelor’s and master’s degrees offered by public universities in Denmark. Additionally, you do not pay tuition if:
- You already possess a temporary or permanent residency permit
- One of your parents works in Denmark but is not from the EU or EEA.
Public universities will charge non-EU/EEA students tuition fees ranging from 6,000 to 16,000 EUR annually. Private universities charge higher tuition fees, which generally apply to both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA students.
In Denmark, the average monthly cost of student housing is between 450 and 670 euros, with prices typically rising to 800–900 euros in Copenhagen.
